A colour, a material, a detail or an atmosphere can sometimes be enough to evoke an entire place. For this Kate beach car created for Le Yaca in Saint-Tropez, our work was precisely about translating that world into something new: a fully bespoke car.
From the choice of colours to the embroidery on the seats, every detail was carefully considered to create a Kate unlike any other.
A Kate in Le Yaca’s colours
The starting point for this configuration was clear: to capture Le Yaca’s visual identity without simply applying it to the car.
The bodywork therefore features a two-tone combination of Yaca green and beige.
The green immediately gives the car its character, while the beige brings softness and creates a lighter contrast, particularly suited to its Mediterranean surroundings.
Rather than opting for a single colour, the two-tone treatment plays with Kate’s volumes and gives its silhouette even more personality.
A combination conceived as a genuine visual composition.
The bimini becomes a design feature
On this Kate, the bimini was not treated as a purely functional feature.
It forms an integral part of the car’s design.
Its striped pattern, coordinated with the rest of the configuration, adds a more expressive touch while subtly evoking holidays, sun-drenched terraces and the Mediterranean coast.
Seen from a distance, the stripes even become one of the car’s most distinctive features.
It also reflects one of the key principles behind Kate customisation: taking functional components and turning them into elements that contribute to the overall identity of the vehicle.
A signature down to the headrests
Inside, the customisation becomes more subtle.
The Le Yaca signature is embroidered directly onto the seat headrests.
This embroidery extends the work carried out on the exterior into the cabin, creating continuity between the different elements of the car.
Colours, fabrics, upholstery and graphic details all tell the same story.
Customising without transforming
Creating a bespoke Kate does not mean adding branding for the sake of it.
For the Yaca project, the aim was instead to preserve Kate’s elegance while giving the car an identity of its own.
